TESTIMONIALS

I originally chose Concordia because everyone I knew was here and I loved. Then when I sold my house—I knew Concordia was the best choice. Duane moved in shortly after because we were close friends that swam together at Branchwood. It’s a sweet love story, really. We operate and host the Friday Afternoon “Happy Hour” where all our friends, and new neighbors can be together.  It’s our main responsibility here at Concordia. Duane and I enjoy the Exercise & Weight Room three times a week. We both belong to our local church, First Presbyterian of Bella Vista and enjoy singing in the choir. What we love about the community of Concordia is that it’s a friendly place …we know most of the people that live here!

I chose Concordia because I visited some friends of mine that live by the Highlands and then stumbled across Concordia. I became very fond of the residents and especially Northwest Arkansas. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and I love the community a lot. I have lived here for four years now. The fact that I have no additional bills, 24-hour security, and a peace of mind are the services that I find most valuable. The dining room is terrific, the transportation options are fantastic, and the facility is well maintained. The maintenance department is on demand—right there when you need them. Also, it’s affordable—especially here in NWA. It’s relaxing, private, and I always feel well cared for. The best aspect of Concordia is that the staff here is consistently caring and thoughtful of each individual and the entire group. It makes this place so special.

I have lived at Concordia Independent Living Center for 4.5 years and have loved every minute of it. It’s the perfect place for an older single person to live since you have friends right next door. To top that off, we also lots of staff who are the very BEST!!!

What I love most about Concordia is that it is a healing place, in the most beautiful setting surrounded by trees, flowers and expansive lawns. I needed to be somewhere where I could be around loving and caring people. I have made wonderful friends here. The staff is very supportive, loving and spiritual. And the meals are great and my favorite days are when the housekeepers come! I love that we have transportation and a doctor that makes house calls. The activities keep me busy doing art, and taking bus trips, whether we go out to eat, to the museum or just sightseeing… I am Blessed Indeed!

After my wife passed my daughters thought I shouldn’t be spending time alone and it would be best to be around people. I agreed. I knew people here from church and the fact that I can fellowship with other Christians is what I enjoy so much. We do things together and I love the activities, especially Mexican Train and Bocce Ball. I like that I don’t have to prepare meals, and housekeeping is great! The staff and administration have been so very helpful to me.

We originally came to a couple of seminars here at Concordia and were so appreciative of all the resources that were offered. It made our move seamless and took away all the worries and concerns of downsizing. We wanted to stay in Bella Vista and knew so many people here. We still have our independence, but help is here if needed. Having a nurse on staff, meals cooked and housekeeping done is a plus for us. The staff is excellent in that they enjoy their work, are always willing to help us and each other. One added service that we love is that we only have to write one check a month. Everything is covered and that makes life easier! We have comfort in knowing that if anything happens to one of us, the other will be taken care of.

Concordia has been my home for 10 years. I was married when I came and as my husband enjoyed talking to people the most, I was grateful it was a good place when his health started to decline. We chose to come to Concordia because of the staff and residents. I call them, ‘can do people!’ and I admire that in folks. The staff is friendly and caring. I love that I am able to be allowed to do my gardening. I help with 2 gardens here and it is a joy! I love being involved in the Hand Chime Choir, Sing-a-Longs and any music event. The food service is great and what I love most are the friends I have made.

Mom has gotten involved in many activities. Social activities have been frequent and fun! She has also been provided therapy and exercise classes for strength and mobility.

May dad who lives in Oklahoma will be moving to NWA and residing at Concordia of Bella Vista in the next month. Our Senior Consultant, Ms. Erin Hagar was so awesome, caring, energetic and just down right amazing! She is so loving to the “family” of residents, knowing all by name. As we we’re touring the facility, Erin would introduce dad to the residents we encountered, making dad feel so welcome. There was no pressure and she made sure she kept dad’s feelings in check at all times. Five stars for Erin and the Concordia staff!
